JOB SUMMARY



This hourly,non-exempt, position requires knowledge of the paint process. The job includes varying amounts of General :
mechanical applications as listed below. Job duties will vary each day and are designated by the Paint Program Manager.





ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS



- Make sure masking is complete.



- Sand primer if necessary.



- Blow aircraft and clean with thinner.



- Wash paint booth.



- Apply top coat (three coats).



- Layout stripe scheme.



- Prep and scuff paint for trim paint.



- Re-mask aircraft and detail aircraft.



- Inspect complete paint job.



- Paint mixing.



- Any other job-related duties as assignedby supervisor or management.





JOBSPECIFICATIONS





Education

High school diplomaor equivalent.

Vo-tech schoolin paint or on-the-job experience required.



Experience

3 - 5 automotive oraircraft paint experience.





Initiative

Self-motivated,work unsupervised and maintain a rapid pace.

Qualityoriented.



Responsibility

Attend workevery day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.



Notifysupervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.



Musthave reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.



Performall work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.

Assist withpainting, painting base coat and layout

Follow allcompany and safety rules during performance of duties.

Maintaincustomer oriented work habits.

PhysicalRequirements

Liftand carry 50 lbs.

Routinewalking, bending and squatting or sitting.



Work standingon ladder or scaffold.



Pass pulmonaryphysical prior to employment.



Passrespiratory fit test, as you must wear protective gear.




Mental Requirements

Understandingand implementation of regulations and guidelines including but not limited toOSHA, haz mat, etc.

Logically workwith mechanical processes.

Work withothers in a professional manner.

Goodcommunication skills.





Supervision

Work under supervisionof Paint Program Manager.




Working Conditions :
Themajority of work will be accomplished in a heated hangar or shop area.

Work inaircraft on ramp may occur.

Variedpositions in and around the aircraft.



EquipmentUsed

Air equipment,polisher and sander.

Stripper pump,electrostatic paint guns, pressure posts, and laser level.

Tugs, powercarts and other engine powered equipment.
