Job Description:

We are looking for an Operations Manager for Comair Retail Travel Services (CRTS.) This positon will be responsible for managing the daily operation of Comair Retail Travel Services to ensure each of the functions are running efficiently in order to maximize productivity and revenue in line with business segment goals.

Key Performance Areas:

* To lead and supervise reservations to ensure that they are equipped to effectively fulfill their reservations function.
* To ensure maximum productivity, accountability and efficiency within the department.
* To monitor the speed and quality of all communications between the reservations department and suppliers and customers in order for service level targets to be met.
* To ensure the departmental financial objectives are met from both a budget/cost management and sales targets perspective.
* To maintain a detailed knowledge of the travel reservations process in order to respond to problems effectively and timeously.
* To effectively manage relationships with supplier / customer in terms of quality customer service and communications.
* To perform general management functions to ensure smooth running of the departments.

Requirements:

* Grade 12 (Essential).
* Tertiary qualification/ diploma/ Certificate in Travel and Tourism (essential).
* GDS qualification (essential) with (Amadeus/Sabre/Galileo) - desirable
* International Fares & Ticketing (essential)
* IATA / UFTAA (desirable)
* 6 years’ experience in an IATA registered corporate TMC (Travel Management Company)handling international reservations, ticketing and refunds (Essential)
* 3 year’s management experience (Essential)
* 2 years’ experience working on a GDS (essential)

Additional Details:

The Operations Manager: Retail Travel Services reports directly to the Retail Travel Manager. The position manages the processes, policies and set standards to ensure standardization and consistent customer experience for the department. The position is required to analyze data from multiple sources, feed it back to the manager and team and ensure development & enhancement where required. Internal liaison takes place with the various Reservations teams and associated stakeholders, Finance & Sales. External liaison takes place with the suppliers & customers.
