Overview:

The Operational Excellence & continued Improvement Lead will partner with the Operating Company Leadership, BU TOS Lead, and Site TOS Leads to drive operational excellence and create a sustainable continuous improvement culture across the organization. The purpose of this role is to champion operational excellence by leading the transformation, education, and culture change of the enterprise using lean and six sigma techniques.

In this role, you will lead process improvements that meet business needs, be involved in long-term strategic and operational planning, and contribute to the overall performance of the Operating Company.

Responsibilities:

* Support a Continuous Improvement culture through the deployment of the Triumph Operating Systems (TOS). Deploy and teach Triumph Operating System (TOS) tools throughout the Operating Companies and Sites.
* Responsible for supporting Operating Company Leadership in the development and execution of a lean transformation strategy, and facilitating Policy Deployment (Hoshin Planning – Strategic Goal Deployment) at all levels of the business.
* Drive change and planning within the Operating Company to enable Triumph to continuously improve performance, which includes managing the transformation roadmap for continuous improvement.
* Create and drive Lean Vision via leading and participating in projects, JGDIs (Just Go Do Its) and kaizen events utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools to improve processes.
* Coach and develop a problem solving (DMAIC) culture at all levels of the organization.
* Support Root Cause Failure Analysis of significant People, Process, and Equipment related downtime events; leading to permanent corrective actions to mitigate probability of reoccurrence.
* Support the selection, training and development of TOS leads / Triumph Change Agents deployed throughout the sites and Operating Companies.
* Provide event follow-up to monitor the progress of planned improvement implementation to assure timely action, appropriate support, and achievement of expected tangible benefits.
* Use appropriate measurement, analysis and evaluation methods to accurately identify and document improvements.
* Be a leader within the TOS organization – engage the workforce.
* Ability to communicate across the organization at all levels, from individual contributors to executive leadership level.

* Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred concentration in engineering, manufacturing/operations, or an equivalent level of degree.
* 5+ years of leadership experience in progressively responsible roles and owned results, in aerospace, automotive or complex manufacturing.
* 5+ years of experience facilitating, coaching and implementing Lean/six sigma events and driving lean transformation with proven results.
* Lean and Six Sigma Certifications or equivalent
* Proven ability to successfully manage cross-functional teams, and implement improvement within an established time frame, then sustain improvements.
* High energy, data driven, and results oriented.
* Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills and organization skills must be comfortable teaching and presenting to large groups at all levels of the organization from shop floor to CEO.
* Strong project management skills.
* Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and various analysis tools.
* Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
* Aerospace Manufacturing Experience.
* Operations or Technical management experience in lean/Op Ex environment
* Lean Six Sigma Black Belt/Master Black Belt, a plus
