Officer Part Time Corporate Security
Guards against unauthorized persons or materials entering Company facilities. Protects company grounds, property, employees, clients, vendors and guests. Patrols and monitors company premises to ensure security of employees and visitors, deter damage to or loss of company and employee property.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Controls access to the buildings by visually verifying that only those personnel wearing identification badges are permitted access beyond the building reception area
* Ensures that visitors are logged-in and are provided escorts
* Observes departing personnel and visitors to guard against theft of Company property
* Makes periodic internal and external security checks either on foot or using company provided vehicles
* Checks parking facilities for unauthorized vehicles and trespassers
* Responds to emergency incidents and security requests
* Contacts appropriate internal personnel and external agencies including police, fire or paramedics, in the event of an emergency
* Completes logs and reports of daily activities
* Maintains the highest regard for confidentiality and professionalism
* Performs other related duties as required or requested
Job Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Possess a valid driver’s license
* Must not have any felony or misdemeanor arrest, excluding traffic violations
* Ability to perform in a fast paced environment while maintaining a professional and effective approach to high-stress situations
* Must be able to work varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Previous law enforcement, military or security experience required
* This group bids for shifts and goes by seniority within the group
