The Non Product Procurement Analyst is responsible for Request for Quotes (RFQ), supplier vetting, placing purchase orders (POs), ensuring on-time delivery and supporting payment to suppliers. The Analyst will interface with Operations as it pertains to scheduling, import/export compliance, environmental health and safety and be in alignment with the UTAS Non Product requirements, metrics, savings, and strategic business unit (SBU) initiatives.

The Non Product procurement commodities include, but are not limited to: Engineering and Factory Services, Gas­and Chemicals, Contingent/Temp Labor, Plant Consumables, Energy, IT­and Telecom, EH&S etc. Critical responsibilities include: driving timely PO execution of general procurement to secure world class level services which support the business in a cost effective and timely manner.­ Additionally, this buyer is responsible for all savings initiatives of UTAS Strategic Business Unit’s­ (SBU) in the Non Product arena including project identification, coordination, execution and deployment.­

This role includes driving Aerostructures Systems­awareness, accountability, compliance and coordination and (for specific engagements) leadership for non product projects.­ Additionally, this individual­will be­responsible for deployment and awareness of UTC Corporate and UTAS leveraged contracts and spend associated with non product procurement.­ As required, this individual will be responsible for developing and delivering presentations to senior leadership in Chula Vista on various progress reviews.

The UTAS non product organization is responsible for managing significant annual spend, supporting non-production procurements. Commodities include, but are not limited to the following: Engineering­and Factory Services, Gas­and Chemicals, Contingent/Temp Labor, Plant Consumables, Energy, IT and Telecom, EH&S, Travel, etc.­

Qualifications

BA/BS­ with 2+ years related experience is required.
MA/MS preferred.

-Strong ability to comfortably interface with members of senior leadership
-Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, Power Point)
-Detail-oriented, organized, have the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and team environment
-High acumen in Continuous Improvement/Lean or ACE Associate
-Preferred MRP/ERP system proficiencies (SAP as a plus)
-Preferred Business Warehouse (BW) and Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) knowledge a plus

Education

BA/BS in Supply Chain or related field is required.
MA/MS in related field is preferred
