Job Description:
The Leidos Civil Group is seeking a .NET developer to support the NISC III contract in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, operations, and maintenance of several applications that have an impact on the National Airspace System (NAS). These applications provide and support information used by FAA personnel to make decisions that impact airman, aircraft, and maintenance systems that ensure overall safety in the NAS. The position functions independently to identify and implement solutions to meet the mission of the application, this includes developing application architecture and design based on the design and functional requirements documents. The position routinely communicates (on a weekly basis) with the Government Technical Interpreter (GTI) to provide status, receive feedback, and incorporate changes from any other business customers. The successful candidate is responsible for updating the functional requirements document based on changes from the interaction with the GTI and other team members supporting the application. The successful candidate also must utilize their expertise to ensure adapted solutions incorporate industry best practices for efficient and secure development to reduce application overhead and risk to application performance, including current customer security standards This position will develop in the .NET environment and will produce proprietary portals that are accessible to the Federal Aviation Association (FAA) customer. The code developed will access data that currently exists in data repositories and will be displayed in logical formats. The data repositories are SQL based and exist within the infrastructure. Additionally, this position will document all aspects of the development process in addition to collaborating with other team members in order to ensure goals and deliverables are being met. Qualified candidates will a Bachelors and a minimum of 8+ years of software development experience and 5 years of experience developing within the .NET environment and pulling from SQL based data repositories.
