Main Duties and Responsibilities:

In the role of a Merchandising Manager, you will support sales with focus on stock planning, loading and availability at the optimum SLA level verses cost, while managing all gategroup entities and third-party service providers. Producing relevant bar standards and ensuring the effective communication of these standards to support practical delivery, you will manage analytics to deliver effective utilization of aircraft galley space to maximize sales opportunities. Through effective in interfacing with the retail team, you will ensure proper planning of stock to meet fluctuating demands and promotions as well as help identify the best ways of displaying and packing key products in the in-air store. Interfacing with Category Managers, you will manage issues relating to delist and ullage collections as well as monitor supply chain reporting and performance to ensure key stakeholders are aware of performance risks and SLAs. You will manage the trials for innovations and changes to operations. You will also be required to manage the stock delist process with all key stakeholders and ensure all steps are adhered to, creating delist analysis reports and ensuring all documentation is issued by the relevant parties in a timely fashion. Ensuring cost awareness is considered in decision making, all actions must be based upon the best ROI for GRO and the airline customer. In the role, you will provide support and understand the process and practices of fresh food loading to maximize sales, minimize waste and drive margin performance. This includes support on management of Crew Food Supply and Loading, resolution of issues and interfacing with Supply Chain, Operations and Base teams. You will also be expected to produce reporting to support the weekly trading review and provide feedback and actions.

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline

Work Experience:

Extensive relevant work experience a Retail Operational role, airline experience preferred environment

Technical / Other Skills:

*

Tenacious and determined with a proven track record in driving projects and objectives

PC literate with strong proficiency in MS-Office

*

Valid driving license

*

Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, other European languages would be an advantage

*

Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales, multi-tasking and prioritising as appropriate
