Mechanical Technician required for a permanent position in the UK

Excel Technical Consulting are delighted to offer this brilliant opportunity for mechanics to join one of our corporate clients and be part of their team in supporting their Ground Support Operations. 

This role is ideally suited to candidates who are ex military or due to leave and looking for the step in to civilian employment.

Role will involve the following duties:

Planning, controlling and carrying out the scheduled maintenance of the Defence Nuclear Emergency organisation Mechanical major & minor GSE in conjunction with the GSE Electrical Tech.

Vehicle Maintenance 

Recording the maintenance of the DNEO Mechanical GSE

Ordering equipment and spare parts for GSE 

Deploying on DNEO exercises in the UK as required

Inventory holder 

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential

NVQ level 3 in mechanical engineering motor transport or 3 years experience in the armed forces or automotive industry 

Hold a full UK valid driving license 

Desirable

Familiar with Tri Service or MoD practices and procedures 

Field electrical power system(FEPS) mechanical trained

Due to the nature of the role and who the client is you will need to be able to achieve MoD Security clearance and be able to provide 3 years of references.

You will also retrieve 11 weeks per year extra training
