MPI Limited are looking for Aircraft Mechanical Technical Instructors to teach technical training to multi-national students with an age range of 16-35 in both classroom & aircraft hangar environments based in the Wolverhampton area.

This is an ongoing contract, working 37 hours per week for 44.4 weeks per year. (Due to holiday shutdown periods).

The successful candidates will be responsible to the Aircraft Training Manager for classroom and practical instruction on a topic within the aircraft discipline and various allied subjects. Ancillary duties include lesson preparation and the production of training support material. Responsibilities comprise the control and supervision of students including the application of Health and Safety and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.

Candidates must have served a recognised aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or a relevant alternative period of training and possess an appropriate National Qualification and have at least 5 years experience in that trade or specialisation.

Applicants will be required to undertake a trade related test and deliver a 10-15 minute presentation at the interview stage.

The successful applicant will have to apply for a Defence Barring Service (DBS) check costing £25 (which is not refundable) and also undergo an MOD BPSS Security Clearance check prior to commencement onsite.

PAY

£24.03 per hour – Limited Company

£19.11 per hour – PAYE

Normal working hours are 08.30 – 17.00 Monday – Friday and 08.30 – 16.30 Friday. There are times when candidates are required to work outside of these hours and if this happens they are given time off in lieu.

 Please note - this position is classified as being in the public sector and in scope.
