We have a unique and exciting career opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer II at our West Caldwell, NJ facility.

Responsibilities:

* Under limited supervision, work as part of a design team to perform the mechanical design, layout, testing and evaluation of RF and Microwave devices and systems for defense applications.

* Duties include: Product Design & Development, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Rapid Prototyping, Electronic Packaging (Heat Transfer, Vibration, Structural Design) 3-Dimensional Parametric Modeling (SolidWorks), Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Finite Element Analysis, ECO/ECN Document management, Printed Circuit Board Design.

* Work with interdisciplinary teams to insure that the designs meet the customers electrical, Mechanical environmental as well as internal manufacturing MIL-STD, utilizing RF design rules requirements and standards. Support internal concurrent design criteria.

* Translate customer specifications; generate design documentation required for prototype and/or production releases as needed.

* Document new designs per established guidelines including but not limited to simulations, test circuit measurements and tolerance analysis.

Minimum Requirements:

* BS in ME (MS or higher preferred), with min. 2-4 years of experience in mechanical design, related to RF/microwave/millimeter-wave or related hardware design. Experience with high reliability hardware and MIL-Standard design, from concept design through production delivery. Familiarity with micro-electronics design techniques and processes.

* Experience with Systems architecture, RF architecture, RF/Microwave circuit design would be a plus.

* Experience with Solid Works, PDM tools and Auto-cad, Pro-e. PADS Power Logic & Power PCB integration a plus. Excellent documentation, organization and time management skills.

* Ability to write procedures, proposals and reports.

* Must possess excellent communications skills and be a team player.

* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment
