We are searching for a dynamic Mechanical Designer to join our team in Goleta, CA.
Position Summary:
Responsible for creating and modifying hardware sub-assemblies, fixturing, and engineering drawings. In this capacity you will interface with various team members, engineers, scientists, senior designers and mechanical technicians to produce E/M drawings used in the manufacturing and assembly of optical systems, sub-systems and components. Ability to understand and work with 3D parametric CAD models is a must.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:

Position requires five (5) plus years of Mechanical Designer experience, preferably AS level degree or Technical School training.
*
Background must include CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred) along with MS Office products skills, general machine shop knowledge and ability to work in a team environment with minimal direction.

Prior Aerospace/Defense industry work experience preferred.

This position is contingent upon MariPro receiving an award for a Undersea Cable program (the “Program”), which is currently in source selection review. MariPro anticipates that an award decision will be made in Q1 2019. MariPro plans to conduct interviews and make a contingent offer under this requisition prior to award and then proceed with onboarding of the successful candidate upon award to MariPro for the Program. In the event MariPro does not receive an award for the Program, this requisition will be cancelled and any contingent offers issued thereunder will be withdrawn.
