Job Role:
Primary Purpose of the Role:
To produce and modify models / drawing packages to allow the procurement and manufacture of electro mechanical equipment
To design electro mechanical equipment to Defence Standards with support from Design Engineers
Principal Relationships:
Reporting to the Engineering Services Team Leader
Liasing with Design Engineers to design electro mechanical equipment
Communicating progress and issues with the Work Package / Project Manager for the allocated tasks,
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
The role may include, but not be limited to the following activities:
-Designing / drawing electromechanical equipment
-Work collaboratively with Design Engineers to produce cost effective, easy to manufacture design solutions.
-Producing 3D models
-Implementing changings into drawing packages
-Producing change documentation
-Providing support to the preparation of detailed estimates and bids.
-Providing support to production / procurement as required.
-Providing design / drawing support where necessary to other Thales sites.

Performance measured against individual objectives in accordance with the company appraisal system.
Skills
Essential:
-Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire & Pro/INTRALINK
-AutoCAD (inc.Raster editing)
-Microsoft Office suite
Desirable:
-PCB / PCA tools (Cadence, Cadstar)
-Teamcenter
Experience:
Essential:
-Designing / modelling electro-mechanical items such as console, cabinets,racks and cableforms
-Producing drawings to BS 8888
Desirable:
-PCB contruction / PCA layout
-Knowledge of Defence Standards

Qualifications:
Essential:
-Eductated to HNC / HND level
