Triumph Group Inc. is a leader in the design, development, manufacture, repair, sales, and life cycle support of aircraft control and actuation systems and structures. The Windsor facility’s main function is to design, develop, test and manufacture a wide array of aerospace products. Specifically those products involving precision machining, hydro-mechanical actuation systems, structural landing gear systems and components as well as mechanical actuation systems used throughout military and commercial industries.

We are seeking versatile, detail oriented persons to assist in our Assembly and Test Department. The Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly & Test works under the general direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager to coordinate the transition of new mechanical, electromechanical or hydraulic products to the manufacturing and/or assembly & test team.

Responsibilities:

* The position is responsible for complex technical tasks; provide work instructions and technical assistance to Assembly and Test Technicians, as well as acting as a liaison between Design & Development Engineering and Manufacturing
* Provide technical direction for the assembly of new mechanical, electromechanical or hydraulic products to the manufacturing and assembly & test technician teams.
* Create and maintain mechanical, electromechanical and hydraulic product assembly tool and fixture designs.
* Create and maintain mechanical, electromechanical and hydraulic product testing apparatus.
* Program data recording testing apparatus supporting electromechanical and hydraulic testing procedures.
* Create and maintain assembly and testing work instructions & provide technical assistance to assembly & test personnel.
* Create and maintain assembly manufacturing Item Master, Bill of Materials and Routings in ERP system.
* Assist Design & Development Engineering in development of mechanical, electromechanical or hydraulic products and the qualification testing of products.
* Act as the liaison between Design & Development Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality.
* Work with suppliers regarding custom components and tooling/fixturing manufacture.

* Associate/bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* 3 - 5 years’ hands on experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment, with experience in a military and or commercial aerospace environment being highly desirable.
* Exposure to vendors and products that support testing activities is desirable.
* Good mechanical and/or electrical aptitude and a familiarity with MIL specifications and standards.
* Work may require lifting of components weighing up to 50 lbs.
* Approximately 4-6 hours/day will be spent in active work, 2-4 hours/day sedentary work.
* Use of computer keyboard required. Flexible work hours may be required.
