Description:

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a opening to join our Rotating, Structures, Stators organization.

Day to Day:

2 Positions Available- SECOND SHIFT POSITION: Monday- Friday 3:00PM- 12:00AM

Position Summary: The Manual Machinist position is responsible for operating and the set up of various manual machines. Machine parts to customer requirements. Utilize measuring tools to inspect parts.

Manual Machinist Duties:

* Adhere to standard machining practices while complying with Company standards for quality and quantity of work including Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements.
* Meet all requirements of CNC/Manual operator.
* Restore parts to blueprint specifications and/or customer requirements.
* Fabricate new and/or improve existing fixtures.
* Set-up all fixtures and jigs and solve machine set up issues.
* Extensive knowledge and experience of required measuring tools.
* Work in a timely and efficient manner with minimal supervision.
* Machine the “one-Offs” and first run production as required.
* Document travelers correctly after operations have been performed.
* Follow and utilize lean manufacturing principles.
* Maintain, implement and improve 5-S Principles.
* Perform regular department housekeeping duties as necessary.
* Sustain production standards and quality.
* Regular attendance and punctuality required.
* Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
* Assist in the training of other machine operators.
* Operating of CMM including development of fixtures and jigs.
* Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
* Performing other tasks in the facility, as needed.

Qualifications:

* Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
* Ability to interpret customer specifications
* Ability to read, interpret and understand work in-process documents
* Ability to accurately read and use measurement tools
* Strong verbal and written communications skills
* Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability
* Provides accurate feedback to the department supervisor pertaining to quality issues
* Lean skills continually drives process improvements
* Team building skills
* Must be fluent in English, i.e. speaking, reading, writing
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Five (5) years experience in machining and set up
* Must be able to pass written/practical machining tests
