Norwegian has experienced significant growth over the previous years by introducing brand new aircraft to its fleet, launching many new routes and establishing new bases in Europe, Asia and the US. Continued fleet expansion through Europe’s largest ever single aircraft order and establishment of new international bases entails a major increase of flight deck and cabin crew resources to make sure flights are operating as scheduled. The planning and management of our crew resources is therefore essential to our continued success. To secure correct and cost-efficient staffing of our operations, Norwegian is looking to hire a Manpower Planner responsible for Long Term Planning. The position reports to the Head of Manpower Planning.

• Build and manage long term resource forecasting of up to 5 years to allow for the best possible utilization of crew in Norwegian’s AOCs during a time of expansive growth

• Develop and maintain long term plans and recommendations to ensure that forecasted resource levels are met

• Coordinate to ensure long term plans are detailed into medium and short term plans to meet seasonal and ad-hoc requirements including, but not limited to, recruitment, training, base bidding, leave management and duty roster preparation

• Track and monitor available resources within the Norwegian Group to be able to provide status updates and serve as an subject expert/advisor to Norwegian’s AOCs

• Find cost-efficient solutions and establish contingency plans to counter short-notice changes to operative and commercial requirements

• Cooperate closely with a range of stakeholders in Norwegian’s AOCs, and ensure the resource planning meets and exceeds service levels


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Aviation, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Mathematics or Statistics

• Minimum 3 years of job related experience, preferably in transport-related industries where resource management and forecasting are essentials

• Strong analytical skills involving data input, forecasting and modeling.

• Working knowledge of probability, statistics and simulation techniques

• Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders and efficiently communicate and present recommendations/reports to top level management

• Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Strong spreadsheet modeling and quantitative skills, preferably with different types of digital reporting systems
