Job Purpose

Lead a dedicated IT group to implement and maintain technology to support the business needs of American’s regional carriers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

* Provides vision and strategic direction to develop IT solutions in support of business priorities of American’s regional carriers

* Understands the industry landscape for Regional Carriers and enables a competitive edge for American Airlines through IT solutions for the Regionals

* Works with Mainline IT teams to leverage capabilities and solutions when appropriate

* Partners with the regional carrier leadership teams to understand business objectives and prioritize IT initiatives

* Drives organizational structure, process, and culture improvements that result in rapid delivery and consistent execution of IT solutions

Qualifications

* Prior experience in the application of technology and smart financial practices to drive business results

* Manage and direct software, hardware, network, telecommunication providers to enhance operational efficiencies and ROI

* Strategic and visionary thinker who can deliver on that vision via a simple and effective set of end solutions

* Proven project management skills and the ability to deliver major system implementations on time and within budget

* Proven ability to build and facilitate relationships at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally

* Excellent understanding of end-user needs, leading technologies and applications

* Action oriented results-driven leader with a natural aptitude for engaging employees in multiple workgroups
