About The Job

Job Purpose

The Managing Director, Enterprise Infrastructure Services is responsible for the strategic leadership and direct oversight of Enterprise Delivery functions including: Network Infrastructure, Converged Data Services, Telecommunications, Unified Communications, Cloud Architecture, Database Services and Virtualized platform services, etc. He/she manages various teams consisting of Directors, Senior Managers, and Managers cross-functionally. The Managing Director maximizes the effectiveness of technology delivery with strong teams in a dynamic environment. He/she will deliver a wide range of critical capabilities to enable the long-range plans and objectives in the organization.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

* Oversee IT Converged Platform Services, Network Services, Cloud adoption Infrastructure and Unified Communications

* Facilitate the transformation from the monolithic support model, aligning to Agile, DevOps, ITIL (process improvement, corrective action plans, root cause analysis, predictive analysis, forecasting and change governance), with a strong metrics and analytical mindset to drive service-excellence

* Leads the platform teams to ensure alignment to the business strategy, technology/network strategic roadmaps, and adherence to platform governance, best practices and policies –holding leadership and individual contributors accountable by Managed By Objectives (MBOs)

* Transform the organization by leveraging and enabling automation, orchestration, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) (i.e. vRA, Morpheus, Ansible, Chef, Puppet) -drive AA adoption

* Accountable for identifying, designing, building and implementing services within the business unit portfolios, having end-to-end accountability for customer satisfaction, delivery effectiveness, cost allocations/transparency

* Establish, communicate, and drive end-to-end service line governance structure to ensure effective management of the service life cycle from inception to deployment to retirement

* Drive a high level of automation across the organization as part of shifting the focus on higher value consultative services and deeper engagement with business units

* Provide infrastructure/Technology services vision, enable innovation, and leverage IT trends that can create business value consistent with the firm’s requirements and expectations

* Lead an extremely talented team of technology professionals who define, manage, and support vertical excellence

* Motivate, organize, mentor and manage teammates globally

* Develop a tailored training and develop program for each associate to improve retention and retain intellectual property

* Functions as a change agent and influence business direction, increase IT business value and simplicity

* Serve as an advocate of his/her business stakeholders into IT and help evangelize the role of IT and technology back to the business

* Thought leader who can stimulate innovation, and utilize the autonomy granted to enable process improvements

* Analyze technology trends and develop technology strategy, architecture, and delivery processes designed for agility and cost effectiveness

* Present innovative forward thinking concepts and technology, to improve business processes and increase topline revenue and profitability

* Identify changes or emerging risks in industry sectors, protocols, markets or technology factors that may influence or impact IT long-range business plans

* Help customers with their Cloud IT Strategy and Roadmap development based on their Business strategies (capturing current state, defining future state to-be architecture on Hybrid cloud) and building Transition state architecture

* Ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on Cloud Platforms.

* Educate customer on the value proposition of Cloud, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud

* Interact with senior management levels at a partner and/or within our organization, which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters

* Deep working experience leveraging cloud platform native services (EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, Redshift, Lambda, Azure, GCP, Azure, etc.)

* A deep understanding of the interdependent relationship between infrastructure and the applications/services

* Partnership skill to maintain strong relationships between dispirit teams within IT.

* DevOps, TOGAF, ITIL, Agile and platform process and technology knowledge and experience, with a progressive track record

* Flexibility to rapidly changing conditions and priorities, and to redirect managers and teams toward new objectives

* Capable of communicating complex, technical topics to a wide variety of audiences

* Willingness to interact with senior management and influence decision makers, embraces ambiguity and enables clarity

* Extensive expertise functioning and succeeding in a bi-modal IT organization

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Must have 10+ years of experience leading team members

* 10+ years of experience across a diverse spectrum of IT disciplines including: Cloud, CI/CD, IaaS, PaaS, IT Automated Delivery, Datacenter, Call Center Platforms

* 10+ years of experience in a leadership / management capacity, preferably in a high performing service environment, with quantifiable results

* 10+ years of experience coaching, mentoring, guiding and leading a geographically workforce -must love people!

* 10+ years of service management and service delivery experience with global companies

* 15-20 years of experience overseeing highly diverse technical teams globally, leading innovation & digital transformation

* 5-10 years of experience utilizing DevOps & Agile methodologies their relationships.

* Strong communication skills both written and verbal and able to effectively communicate with peers and executives

* 10-15 years of experience establishing, monitoring, and managing IT as a business enabler

* 10-15 years of experience managing 3rd party multi-year MSPs globally improving quality while reducing cost

* Demonstrated success implementing large global Platform Engineering functions (Databases, Big Data/NoSQL services)

* Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and strong planning/organizational abilities

* Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills

* Outstanding managerial and coaching skills

* Experience developing technology roadmaps, blue prints and tactical to strategic execution plans

* Experience with insourcing, outsourced and hosted 3rd party service providers

* Experience operating international, global and multi-national wide area networks with over 100 sites

* Experience operating large, complex, business critical and revenue impacting local area networks

* Experience managing an operating or investment budgets more than $10m annually

* Hands on experience and expertise with but not limited to following technologies: TCP/IP, IP addressing, Routing Protocols, QOS/COS, Cisco routes/switches, wireless controllers and access points, Checkpoint/Palo Alto Firewalls, Remote Access/VPN, SD Networking, Virtualization, Automation and Orchestration, Intent based Networking, Proactive and Predictive Modeling, Programming and Scripting, Chef, Puppet, VoIP, SIP, Voice Gateways, CODECs, DNS, DHCP, Skype for Business, Geolocation, Load Balancing, IoT, Edge Computing, AI

* Extensive knowledge of: Cloud (Docker, PCF AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Blue Mix), SDDC, SDN (NSX-T), Kubernetes, IaaS, PaaS, Network (SD-WAN), Converged Data Services (Telecom/Mobility/Data) (VZN, AT&T, etc.) and UCaaS

* Ability to see the "big picture" across such areas as private and public hosted infrastructure and services, identity management, security, telecommunications, enterprise storage and big data opportunities, end user experience, and training/education

* Demonstrated history of caring for all team members

* Open and collaborative mindset

* Self-starter with executive presence and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
