Job Description:

Manage and provide leadership to employees performing technical activities within the Technical Publications, or Maintenance Engineering production functions. Ensure that individual and project production goals are met adhering to established schedules and company specifications.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

4-Year College Degree in Business preferred

EXPERIENCE:

Two years prior supervisory experience in technical role

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Thorough knowledge of applicable systems, procedures, processes, standards, specifications, and reference tools.

Knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, retrofit and repair procedure writing, parts listing, illustration and other technical areas as applicable.

Possess intermediate PC skills appropriate for position.

Possess knowledge of applicable systems, procedures, standards, specifications and reference tools.

Possess knowledge of quality standards for assigned responsibilities.

Ability to determine solutions and resolve problems.

Ability to understand high priority issues and accelerate a response.

Possess sound analytical skills.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Train, coach, counsel, mentor and provide development opportunities within the job to enhance employee performance and expand individual capabilities.

Forecast resource needs and obtain and manage personnel needed to perform the work.

Understand production processes and procedures, makes appropriate adjustments and resolves issues as they surface.

Maintain accurate billing production records with appropriate back-up support data.

Assist employees with what they need to efficiently and effectively perform their jobs.

Provide technical direction and guidance. Ensure technical training is provided when and as needed.

Monitor quality, identify root causes of quality problems, and develop methods for quality improvement.

Monitor quality inspections to insure compliance with Company standards.

Assist production employees to maintain company specifications and consistency.

Recognize contributions of individuals and teams and provide recognition.

Keeps individuals and team informed by communicating project status. Communicates company policies and directives. Consistently and proactively gives timely, appropriate feedback on performance.

Administer time and attendance functions including correct job number usage.

Ensure that work area and assigned equipment is maintained, and in a neat and clean condition.

Prepare production and department activity reports as necessary, and achieve established goals.

Other duties as assigned.
