About the role:

In this role, you will lead a large team to translate short, medium and long term business strategies into safe and compliant resource plans, training plans and rosters for Flight and Cabin Crew for Tigerair.

As the Manager of the Resource Planning team, you will be responsible for balancing cost, productivity, operational robustness and employee engagement in a dynamic, complex and ever changing environment.

You will collaborate with key stakeholders across the organisation to continually review processes and determine a strategic workforce planning methodology and approach that delivers on the commercial strategy. You will respond to changing company objectives quickly, providing detailed assessments and recommendations to support strategic initiatives such as fleet changes, new markets and new enterprise bargaining agreements.

Other key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

* Leading and managing the rostering team to ensure the construction and timely publication of rosters which meet all current safety, legislative (CAO 48) and company quality criteria and applicable flight and cabin crew EBA’s together with the Cabin Crew Modern Award;

* In conjunction with the Operations Control Centre, construct operational pairings ensuring efficiently and compliance to with duty limitations;

* Undertake pre-rostering assignment including crew annual leave and requested days off as per rostering guidelines.

* Ensure duties are fully crewed, legal and practical in compliance with CASA legislation, EBA agreements and company fatigue mitigation guidelines;

* Ensure accommodation and transport required within the planned roster is administered efficiently and in a cost-effective manner;

* Ensure authorisation of training plan prior to input to crew and operations management system.

* Administer post roster build, analyzing published roster output about equalisation, safety, legality and fatigue and lifestyle issues.

* Provide, advise and deliver crew rosters, ensure they are compliant to both Civil Aviation Orders and EBAs.

* Ensure the effective calculation and approval of manpower planning requirements for Flight and Cabin Crew;

* Monitor all activities within the reporting departments to ensure compliance with all CASA regulations / standards and company requirements;

* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within Tigerair and Virgin Australia, including the operations, customer delivery and network teams.

* Represent Tigerair customer functions at the most senior levels in the business, including to external providers for ground services, customer services, and marketing activities.

* Coach and mentor managers to ensure staff and team increase capability.

Your skills and experience will include:

* Extensive knowledge in Resource Planning principles, processes and methodologies

* Detailed understanding of Enterprise Bargaining Agreement complexities and incorporating these into strategic planning

* Working knowledge of airline operations

* Proven success leading, developing and engaging a large team

* Experience using analytics and application to formulate solutions to complex problems

* Experience in projecting trends and making recommendations addressing future needs

* Capability in design, implementation and monitoring of Resourcing systems

* Financial acumen and budget management

* Achievements in process development and business change
