Description

Reporting to the Assistant Director Finance, the incumbent is responsible for the ongoing availability of all automation equipment, systems and operational activities. Operations include the IT, business, technical and facility systems relied upon by the business for the management and delivery of products and services. The incumbent is expected to take a proactive role in initiatives to increase the efficiency of IT and operations and to support the development of the business.

Responsibilities

* Translate general business goals into specific IT solutions;
* Maintain local/wide area network (LAN/WAN);
* Maintain local end-user and server infrastructure and Windows operating systems;
* Responsible for systems documentation, procedures and DRP (disaster recovery plan) /BCP (business recovery plan);
* Support the business in the monitoring and management of business risks and in the regular updating and testing of the business continuity plan;
* Ensure that the INDP/IATA (Netherlands) B.V. business is compliant with all Corporate IT guidelines, policies and procedures or, if any local deviations are required, to ensure that these are all documented and agreed;
* Management of INDP/IATA (Netherlands) B.V. facilities under the supervision of the AD Finance;
* Manage the relationships with suppliers and maintain contracts to ensure efficient and cost-effective services are in place at all times;

Qualifications and Skills

* College degree or equivalent technical certification plus professional qualifications;
* Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in the IT field, preferably in an international publishing/business information environment;
* Proven technical knowledge and experience in the administration and systems management of Windows 7/10 desktop and Windows 2012 Server based environment
* Experience with VMWare administration and networking (LAN/WAN)
* Experience in areas such as data publishing, content management and operational systems, IT delivery and support, Project Management, analytical skills and reporting;
* Self-starter with initiative and ability to work without constant supervision and perform under pressure in handling a variety of tasks simultaneously and within variable working hours and schedules;
* Strong focus on quality and attention to detail;
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact effectively, cross culturally and at multiple levels of seniority;
* Fluent in English and Dutch, other languages an advantage
