Manager Inflight Safety and Compliance

This position acts as the focal point for the Inflight Department safety-related functions and safety management. The Manager, Inflight Safety is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS) deployed by the Sun Country Airlines Safety and Security Department. Primary job functions include: act as main communication liaison to the applicable department, analyze safety data, conduct internal audits (oversight), investigations, and safety risk assessments, as well as process all Inflight safety report submissions.

Essential Duties:

* Perform as the subject matter expert for Inflight safety

* Collaborate with other Safety Department Managers regarding safety events

* Review, analyze, and assess all Inflight safety reports

* Collect and analyze Inflight safety data, including data from SMS programs

* Complete all Safety Department investigations for Inflight Department safety-related issues

* Complete Company internal evaluations/audits, as required

* Liaison for external audits, IATA, DOD

* Inflight OSHA working group representative

* Facilitate the Event Review Committee for the Inflight Aviation Safety Action Program

* Assist with Inflight regulatory compliance issues, including Voluntary Disclosure Reporting Program (VDRP) and Letter of Investigation (LOI) investigations, responses, and follow-up audits

* Act as the facilitator/organizer for safety management procedures within the Inflight Department;

* Assist the Director of Safety with the supervision and maintenance of the organization’s SMS

* Attend industry meetings/conferences and work collaboratively with other Company Managers, FAA, and industry resources

* Ability to be on call 24/7
