Description

The Manager will work on IATA industry transformation project One ID. One ID aims at introducing digital identity and collaborative and integrated identity management to enable passengers to identify themselves through biometric recognition throughout his journey.

Reporting to the Project Manager, One ID, the incumbent shall bring expertise and act as technical SME on identity management solutions to the project, mainly in the areas of technologies, specifications and process. The incumbent will be developing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base underpinning the mentioned specific areas of project. The incumbent will also support the development and coordination of One ID guidance documentation to facilitate wider adoption support in other projects deliverables as assigned.

Responsibilities

* Act as the Technical SME to the project
* Develop One ID Standard and Recommended Practices detailed roadmap and execute and monitor action plan
* Through active research and information gathering, develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of global projects and initiatives related to biometrics and identity management; relevant technologies and vendors; and governance and legal aspects including privacy regulations.
* Analyze results from trials, pilots and proof-of-concept implementations.
* Build up and maintain contact with the vendor community to stay abreast of solutions and technologies development
* Contribute to guidance documentation according to specific technical area of expertise and other project deliverables as assigned
* Support internal and external knowledge transfer
* Deliver consulting activities as SME, in collaboration with APCS consulting

Qualifications and Skills

* Strong background in aviation, with a thorough understanding of the end-to-end passenger process
* Expertise in passenger processes, airlines and border processes;
* Strong Technical expertise and significant work experience in identity management solutions, including biometric technologies in the context of the passenger journey at airports;
* Expertise in standards and recommended practices in the passenger process, identity management solutions and biometrics;
* Solid organizational and analytical skills; methodological approach;
* Robust communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills; ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders and to professionally address all levels of management;
* Highly motivated with the ability to work independently;
* Flexibility to travel, and ability to work internationally and cross-culturally;
* Fluency in English; excellent written and verbal presentation skills;
* Desire to learn.
