Manager Crew Planning Information

Within SAS, 1500 pilots and 3500 cabin crew are dedicated to make life easier for our customers, by ensuring that our flights depart on time, and that our customers get a safe and pleasant journey. The planning process of determining who should fly when and where requires sophisticated planning systems efficiently tuned to maximize productivity while ensuring reasonable working conditions for our employees. Crew Planning is responsible for dimensioning and planning of all crew within SAS. The planning process includes long term planning, pairing and roster optimization (scheduling), roster maintenance and planning of training activities. Crew Planning also has the ambition to elevate the general understanding of our internal processes inform and communicate about this process.

We are now looking for a person to strengthen Crew Planning as

Manager for Information and Communication.

This is a new position with the responsibility to develop and manage all information channels and reporting from Crew Planning. In this role, you will also act as one representative for crew with regard to planning issues and will be a member of Crew Planning management team.

You will have the opportunity to shape the position and contribute to an increasingly important aspect of the Crew Planning process.

Main duties

* Ensure that all SAS Crew have access to relevant information about all planning related issues

* Ensure that all personnel in Crew Planning get relevant information about all issues affecting prerequisites for crew planning

* Represent the crew perspective for future changes in the crew planning area.

Act as a representative for all SAS flying staff in relation to crew planning

* Ensure that all crew get correct information about processes regarding own schedule and vacation planning, including changes to systems, methods and ways of communicating with crew planning, preferably described in Crew Planning Guide (CPG)

Qualifications and Experience

* Experience from managing, developing and delivering internal PR and communications programs

* University degree, or equivalent

* Fluent Business English - written and spoken, as well as fluent in one Scandinavian language

* Experience in Crew Planning, or as Pilot/Cabin Crew is an additional advantage

Personal qualities

* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and a confident public speaker

* Good relationship builder with high personal integrity and good interpersonal skills

* Crew oriented – understand and represent crew and have the ability to pedagogize

Crew Planning’s capabilities, limitations and opportunities

* Ability to balance strategic and conceptual thinking

* Change prone – thrive with continuous change and contribute to the development of communication channels and working processes

* Full-time located at SAS head office, Frösundavik

* Desired appointment date: As soon as possible

* Salary by agreement and qualifications

About our Office

Frösundavik is a great place to work. There is a gym, restaurant, café and a variety of services to make your life easier. It’s located in a green area of Solna and close to Hagaparken and Brunnsviken. There’s a non-stop bus connection from the Central Station to Frösunda and

commuter trains to/from Solna Station. Of course, cycling is another option and many of us

enjoy the scenic route to the office every day.
