Manager, Contracts

The Manager, Contracts manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members by managing proposal preparation, contract negotiation and administration for all contracts. The Manager, Contracts will provide direction to subordinates on more complex contract issues, assist with the development and implementation of Company initiatives, serve as organization spokesperson on complex and major contracts, and act as contracts consultant to senior management. The Manager, Contracts will report directly to a Senior Manager, Contracts within the KBRwyle Logistics Business Contracts & Procurement Function. Incumbent will perform other assignments and duties as required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

*

Oversees company performance for conformance to original proposal and maintains continual reviews to ensure that all terms and conditions are met and that the contract is in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications and government regulations.

Provides expertise in identifying potential contractual problems or conflicts and analyzing impact/ramifications.

*

Prepares and disseminates information throughout the company regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination.

*

Focuses on continual improvement in the speed, quality, and simplicity of contract formation and management processes, without compromising compliance.

*

Supports Six Sigma/Lean/KBRwyle Methodologies to reduce inefficiencies and improve responsiveness.

*

Able to manage contract issues across KBRwyle ensuring organizational effectiveness and standardization.

*

Responsible for driving performance consistent with KBRwyle functional objectives.

*

Provides independent and objective contract evaluation.

*

Advises KBRwyle leadership on contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.

*

Maximizes profit and cash flow while minimizing risk in the negotiation of contracts.

*

Contributes to the development of strong working relationships with customers, ensuring high internal customer satisfaction.

*

Recruits and hires employees. Supervises direct reports. Establishes individual performance goals. Reviews performance against goals. Plan, approves and implements actions for the timely development and progress of individuals. Plans and grants salary increases as appropriate. Manages discipline and documentation steps in problem employee situations. Manages dismissals.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:

*

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, or related discipline.

*

Minimum 9 years of related experience.

*

Minimum 1 years supervisory/management experience.

*

Previous government contract experience.

Excellent technical and functional knowledge of contract administration in a government contracting environment.

Excellent negotiation skills/techniques and experience.

*

Advanced analytical skills and business acumen to make sound management decisions/recommendations.

Interpersonal skills, with ability to influence customers.

Active Security Clearance at a Secret or above level, and availability to obtain a higher-level clearance.

Desired Education, Experience, Skills or Training:

*

Department of Defense Contracts experience preferred.

*

Deltek and SAP experience preferred.

Position requires U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status.
