Swiss WorldCargo is the airfreight division of Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS). The project “One Cargo" is a joint project between Lufthansa Cargo and Swiss WorldCargo. The project aims at aligning business processes and the IT landscape over the next years. Furthermore, Swiss WorldCargo aims at joining the Cargo Joint Ventures.

The Manager Cargo Operational Process Developer represents Swiss WorldCargo Operations in the One Cargo project.

Furthermore, the Manager Cargo Operational Process Developer is responsible to formulate and translate the business processes, together with Business System Development, into IT requirements and represent the Operations interests to internal and external IT providers to ensure development as defined.

After anti-trust immunity is granted, the position will be responsible to work out the processes and IT requirements for and implementation of the Cargo Joint Venture participation.

The position “Manager Cargo Operational Process Development” works with the counterparts from LH Cargo at aligning the business and IT processes where required and derives requirements for functionalities in the future One Cargo environment in the area under his/her responsibility “Operations” (e.g. handling, trucking, messaging, tracking, tracing, irregularity, service recovery, claims, accounting).

Your Duties

* Participate in joint conceptual workshops with stakeholders from business, IT and suppliers from Swiss WorldCargo, Lufthansa Cargo
* Describe, validate and implement the business processes and IT functionalities in close collaboration with his/her counterparts from the different business departments of SWISS/Swiss WorldCargo and with the project team members from Lufthansa Cargo in his/her area of responsibility
* Define, validate and document the new Standard Operational & Accounting Processes at Outstations, Hub and Head office in view of Swiss WorldCargo entering into joint processes and a joint IT landscape with LH Cargo
* Describe the business changes for Swiss WorldCargo which are derived from the new joint usage of IT systems and the changed business process world to evaluate and quantify impact on cost and service delivery
* Responsible for the support and change management of the joint business processes and the joint Core IT application related to Operational Processes
* Develop priorities and plans to achieve objectives and timelines of a new joint IT landscape in close collaboration with the LH Group Process Owner “Logistics IT” and SWISS IT
* Coordinate IT system development with all involved internal departments and external providers in close collaboration with the position “Business System Development”
* Share and implement new processes with all concerned internal and external parties
* Ensure in the new set-up a continued high quality of Swiss WorldCargo service delivery to customers including shipments flown on Partner Airlines
* Jointly define Operational Processes and Change Requests with LH Cargo ensuring a lean and cost efficient operation considering the needs and customer service approach of Swiss WorldCargo
* Create and execute user testing for new system functionalities
* Define new requirements for external suppliers (e.g. handling, trucking) and translate these requirements into manuals and service level agreements considering all rules and regulations
* Ensure consultancy with all relevant internal stakeholders and authorities prior to implementation

Requirements

* University degree in business administration or commercial education
* Min 3-5 years of experience in operational area of air cargo
* Very good understanding of cargo business and products/services processes
* Knowledge of standard air cargo industry operational IT applications
* Process modelling or process description experience is an advantage
* Very good command of English language, German is an advantage
* Strong analytical and conceptual skills
* Solution / result orientation, problem solver in an efficient way
* High level of attention to detail
* Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
* Project management experience is an advantage
* Travel is required (max 30%)
