About Your Job

As a Manager of Business Development & Commercial you will be responsible for the overall design, delivery and management of the Qatar Aviation Services pricing structure. You will manage the implementation and continuous improvement of innovative and practical development initiatives that support and enable QAS to achieve its commercial and pricing business objectives. 

Key accountabilities for the job are:

  • Implement QAS Business Expansion and Commercial strategy ensuring alignment with QAS overall strategy in coordination with the operational business units
  • Ensure that QAS expansion strategies and operational plans are implemented
  • Implement the QAS global tactical commercial strategy determining the level of investment globally
  • Monitor project expenditure against approved levels on a regular basis and investigate and justify significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control
  • Monitor short and long term QAS investment and replacement plan in coordination with operational departments
  • Responsible for the management of relationships with other Airlines, Trade bodies, Government and Civil Aviation Authorities and general public in the station
  • Steer, lead and direct the team to deliver corporate and commercial objectives
  • Regularly reviews Corporate/ Trade/Leisure data with teams to drive revenue and seek out tactical revenue opportunities
  • Responsible for all activities within the designated station 
  • Establish measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the whole business development team in accordance with guidelines and standards of company’s operational and financial objectives

 

About You

You will hold a relevant College or University qualification to a Bachelor’s Degree level with a minimum of 8 years job related experience.

With a strong understanding of commercial and business development you will also have experience of project management within a growing organization.  

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of business growth, managing revenue, forecast and budgets for an international organization.
