Role Overview

Louisville Service Center has an immediate opening for a maintenance technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining electrical and electronic equipment, industrial controls, and mechanical equipment in a production setting. This position is also responsible for facility maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Diagnoses machine malfunction by interfacing with operators and observing, testing, and evaluating the operation of machinery and equipment
* Disassembles machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs
* Examines parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear
* Test-runs repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs
* Welds to repair metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment
* Places requisitions for parts and materials
* Repairs and replaces electrical wiring, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery
* Records repairs and maintenance performed
* Maintains preventative maintenance program
* Complies with and supports EH&S policies and procedures
* Consistently demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement; actively participates in and supports continuous improvement events
* Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification:
* 3 years minimum experience as a maintenance technician
* Demonstrated success working in a team environment
* Working knowledge of Lockout-Tag out procedures
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
* Experience planning, organizing, and coordinating multiple priorities
* Ability to speak, write, read and interpret the English language
Preferred Qualifications:
* Mechanical aptitude
* PLC (programmable logic control) experience
* CI/Lean Activities
* PLC (programmable logic control) experience
* Licensed Electrician

Education:
