The Maintenance Systems Manager reports to the Director Technical Services and is responsible to promote adoption of the approved Maintenance software (AMOS) within the organization as the single source of truth for all aircraft activities, records, airworthiness, planned and unscheduled maintenance work, inventory, parts and costs associated with it. The expectation is that this position will have a thorough understanding of the business processes followed by the organization as well as master the software that support these processes. This position will also be expected to own the 24/7 business user support for the maintenance system and work closely with IT to ensure high levels of availability of the application. RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop, implement and oversee application policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of applications and their accompanying software.

* Define standards for optimal use of the application’s business functionality.

* Work closely with the IT department and test all elements of all patches/enhancements to affected key users before launch to production. Sign on off all changes prior to this being launched in production.

* Comprehensively present the changes to the user community.

* Coordinate with IT department the promotion of changes to the production environment.

* Understand and drive business process improvement.

* Map the existing business process flows to the software processes in the maintenance system and look for opportunities to improve both the processes and the system.

* Automate airworthiness control functions, via reporting and exceptions.

* Design and oversee business change management procedures. If this requires a change in application software work with IT department to coordinate accordingly.

* Manage user profiles/ permissions and access rights within the application and ensure that this is constantly kept up to date.

* Organize application support for user functionality and manage user help desk function for non-IT related functions.

* Define standards for technical application support process within the application.

* Oversee development of all AMOS training needed and manage implementation.

* Work and/or liaise with various departments as projects arise in relation to their areas. Track and lead initiatives as needed.

* Provide business justification to IT for any enhancement request that requires software changes.

* Work with IT Team to support business objectives.

* Work with other internal and external resources as required.

* Collaboration with senior leadership to ensure tasks are aligned with overall corporate goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Previous exposure to Airline and Airline/Aircraft Maintenance

* Bachelors’ degree in aviation related field

* Experience with aircraft maintenance business process analysis

* At least 2-3 years of supervisory experience

* Experience with AMOS preferred

* 5 years related work experience preferred

* FAA A&P license preferred
