Responsibilities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Intern will work full-time as a Team member of the Maintenance Programs Compliance Team.

Task assignments will include research, filing, and scanning of maintenance related documents to ensure compliance and proper documentation.

Candidate will also be expected to perform some data entry with supervision as well as assist in special audits.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

Progress toward undergraduate in Aviation Maintenance Technology or any other technical field in the aviation industry.

Minimum level accepted: Sophomore.

Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours.)

Must be maintaining an overall GPA of 2.75.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.)

Basic understanding of aviation maintenance practices such as:

* Proper documentation of maintenance accomplished

* The difference between a proper signoff and an incomplete one

* What is the role of an inspector vs. mechanic

* Basic understanding of auditing to established standards

* Knowledge of Airworthiness Directives

Problem solving ability and strong written/verbal communications skills.

Ability to stay organized and manage multiple and concurrent assignments.

Works well in a culture that is open, direct, respectful, courteous and compassionate.

Quick learner, self-motivated, team oriented, with a sense of humor.
