Position Description:

AMETEK Power Instruments is a business unit of AMETEK Power Systems & Instruments. Our manufacturing facility is located in downtown Rochester, NY with a portion located in Reynosa, MX. We also have locations in Wilmington, MA, Coral Springs, FL, Northern Ireland and sales offices throughout the world. We manufacture best in class, cutting edge electronic products. Our products are in the electric power generation, distribution and process industries. These industries make power, transmit power, distribute power or measure power.

We are recruiting for an Machine Operator for our Rochester, NY location.

SUMMARY
Continually operating, developing and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment and processes. Insure product quality is maintained through the Service area while maximizing efficiency, overall cost and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities will include:
•Operating and maintaining all machine operations.
•Maintaining a neat and accurate inventory system.
•Build and / or assist in build of first-piece articles on machines.
•Ability to read component descriptions and blue prints.
•Ability to interact with support personnel (Engineering, Management, Team Lead, etc).

Familiarity with the following Equipment a plus:

 Thru-hole Equipment
 Universal Instruments:

•Multi-Mod I Model 6794 DIP IC Inserter
•Variable Center Distance (VCD) Model 6287B
•Axial Leaded Component Inserter
•Axial Lead Sequencer Model 2596B
•Radial Inserter
•Wave Solder

Metal Shop Equipment:
•Strippit Delta 1000 Turret Punch Press
•Cemco Wet Scrubber
•Various brakes, drill presses, etc.
•Complete anodize, paint and screening capabilities
