Job Role:

Change is in the air at British Airways. Our engineering department is evolving to open up a whole new world of possibilities, and that includes greater flexibility on type ratings. Which means we’ll give you all the training you need to work with our aircraft, and we’ll do it while you’re in a leadership role. But that’s not all. We’re expanding our fleet variety by investing in new aircraft types. Like the new A350, which is already on the way.

You’ll quickly discover that no two days are ever the same at British Airways. With 133 long-haul and 141 short-haul aircraft across Heathrow and Gatwick, the opportunities are endless. There’s both line and hanger-based work, and a wide range of shift patterns are available too. But most importantly, we’ll give you all the ownership and trust you need to do your job right. We’ll build your confidence, enhance your decision-making skills and give you the support of a qualified team of mechanics and technicians. Together, you’ll shape the future of aircraft engineering.

And the salary? We raised it to reflect not only your status in the engineering department, but the expertise and leadership you’ll bring to the team – inspiring them to deliver to their full potential. And as a permanent employee of British Airways, you’ll also receive the full range of company benefits, including shift pay, full pension and discounts on air travel.

To apply, you’ll need to hold an unrestricted EASA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 license. We’ll help you obtain the necessary BA type ratings needed to work on our planes.

A new era in engineering is here, and we’ll be looking to our aircraft engineers to help us lead it. If you want to be part of the change, you’ve come to the right place.
