About the role:

The Finance and Transformation division here at Virgin Australia supports the business to meet its strategic outcomes through the delivery of sophisticated insights, analysis and reporting.

This business critical division are currently recruiting for a Leader, Operations Reporting to manage reporting for both internal executive management and external regulators within the Operations divisions. You will lead Data Analysts to deliver regular performance reporting with the identification, quantification and preliminary assessment of information across our Operations divisions.

A key focus is to identify areas of collaboration, enhance insights and improve the ability of reporting while looking at enhancing communication, simplifying processes and encourage changes to the make the team more efficient. Other responsibilities include:

* Leading the team in communicating performance against KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement and to assess and communicate the impact of improvement initiatives to relevant stakeholders across the organization.

* Delivering Executive KPI reporting, Group reporting when necessary and the provision of various external requirements and regulatory reports.

* Tracking, analyzing and improving the management of performance KPI’s to support the business in critical decision making.

* Working with stakeholders to identify and prioritise opportunities to continually improve the performance and efficiency of the business.

What you’ll need:

* Experience leading, developing and coaching a small team

* Advanced knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint

* Experience facilitating workshops with business stakeholders

* An awareness of Business Intelligence reporting tools

* Proven quantitative analytical skills and understanding of business and financial modelling processes and methodologies

* Good understanding of financial and strategic principles and concepts

* Airline operations understanding would be highly advantageous
