About the role:

This role will partner with a number of the VAA Divisions to develop a People strategy which enables the delivery of the business strategy, in line with our purpose, values and culture. The role will have the unique opportunity to be a part of a future focused footprint and be operating at a strategic level. This role leads a small team who design and deliver integrated people strategies whilst delivering ‘hands on’ advice, support and representation on people matters.

The Leader, Human Resources will be supported by the Centres of Excellence (COE) and the Virgin Australia Group to create the design and execution of people strategies. There is a fantastic opportunity to build collaborative partnerships across the People function to deliver value-added services to leaders and team members that reflect the business objectives of the organisation, whilst constantly looking for opportunities to improve the efficiency and quality of the services that we provide.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have current experience in the development of a People strategy that aligns to the business objectives. Your background will show your partnering ability as well as the development and delivery of systems programs and processes. You will be a natural collaborator and be innovative and creative in your thinking. This role is broad and will also require a candidate to have experience leading and executing strategies in an industrial environment.
