About us:

Crew Planning Services is responsible for the short to long-term planning for Flight and Cabin Crew for our regional, domestic, short and long haul international operations. Our department comprises of a dedicated team of crew analysts, crew training planners and crew roster planners for the provision, advice and delivery of aircrew rosters and to support the coordination and planning of crew training requirements.

We are now embarking on the next exciting steps of our journey and our team is evolving. This is a great opportunity to lead your team as we go through a series of changes to better support our work groups and offer greater operational efficiency and effectiveness.

About the role:

We are looking for a highly organised and driven individual to lead the Crew Planning Services Support team. The Leader is responsible for leading, coaching and developing your team members to ensure department requirements and initiatives are adhered to in the most efficient and effective manner.

You will ensure the team are managing BAU activities for the department as well as implementing initiatives to champion better.

Ongoing liaison and relationship management with Flight and Cabin Crew management and Network Operations management is key as you drive standardisation and alignment of process and procedures across the department. This will be achieved by;

* Updating, maintenance and integration of the current department policy manual

* Developing and implementing an initial and a recurrent training and checking package for each role across crew planning services

* Identifying and reporting risk, as well as tracking and actioning audit observations and findings

* Development and management of SOPs and improved reporting function for the department

* Development of Business Cases, IPR’s, BRD’s

About you:

The succeed in this role you will the demonstrate:

* Experience with development of initiatives from conceptual through to implementation

* Experience in project management

* A proven track record of effective team leadership and people management

* Excellent communication and facilitation skills

* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products

* Financial management and budgeting experience

* Ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders

* Experience in conducting training needs analysis and implementing process improvement

* Ideally, a Tertiary qualification in Business or Aviation management and Cert IV in Training & Assessment
