Take on responsibilities within the UTAS Sensors and Integrated Systems (SIS) Business Unit and cover an area within the EMEA region where you interact with aircraft and helicopter operators, maintenance organizations and other aftermarket customers within the aerospace industry. Join us at our German site in Munich. During the course of the year there will be also openings at our French site in Toulouse or our site near Heathrow, UK.

Responsibilities:

  • You will further cement long-standing customer relationships, identify opportunities with existing and new customers, and actively acquire new business for SIS.

  • Your industry and technology insight make you the ideal partner for your customers to develop customized commercial and technical solutions. These include type certified or retrofit solutions providing capability upgrades that benefit our customers.

  • You will maintain close contact with decision makers and when necessary mobilize Engineering and Product Development specialists from the international SIS organisation, who you will support in the development of customized solutions.

  • You will coordinate the tendering process, give convincing presentations to customers, negotiate with confidence and successfully conclude contracts.

  • In this role you’ll need to be an excellent networker and team player. You’ll share information about customers, market developments and trends with all SIS divisions involved in sales. success, and coordinate with the Central Sales organization.

  • These insights will make a decisive contribution to the development of customer-specific sales strategies and pioneering products, and help tap into new target markets for our products.

  • You’ll know that success isn’t simply achieved at your desk, therefore you’ll understand that over 50% of your time will be spent on-site with your customers within the assigned EMEA region.

Requirements:

  • Degree in aeronautical engineering or equivalent (BSc / MS), additional business qualification (e.g. MBA) is a plus

  • Minimum of 7 years aerospace industry experience with a proven track record in a sales/business development role – ideally in the aerospace systems business of a large matrix organisation

  • We will, of course, provide you with training for your new role. But you will need to bring your own desire to learn new things and familiarize yourself with new topics on the fly as well

  • You’ll be interculturally experienced, have a confident appearance and convincing communication skills – fluent in English and at least one other EMEA region language

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, an ability to draw the appropriate conclusions in complex situations

  • Ability to work independently under pressure and with a high degree of flexibility

  • Proficient in state-of-the-art IT and communication processes (e.g. CRM tools)
