Job Role:

Task Responsibilities:

• Produce optimized computerized flight plans
• Brief flight crews on all operational matters in order to allow them to conduct safe and efficient flight operations
• Calculate aircraft performance
• Provide authorities and air traffic control agencies with the most up to date ATC flight plans
• Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and operational procedure during the flight planning in accordance with national and international applicable legislation
• Maintain up to date awareness of the weather forecast and the serviceability of essential en-route and terminal facilities
• Maintain continuous communications watch 24/7
• Perform extra operational or administrative tasks assigned in order to have the most optimum working environment

Essential Requirements:

• General school leaving certificate of secondary education or equivalent (e.g. A-Level, BAC, Abitur)
• At least 5 years relevant aviation experience in Flight Operations preferably related to worldwide flight operations
• Holder of a Flight Dispatcher Certificate will be considered as an advantage
• Ability to interpret weather and NOTAM information as well as airport/airspace NAV charts, familiarity with aircraft performance
• Be computer literate: experience in use of dispatch related software - flight planning systems, SITA/AFTN communications and good knowledge of MS Office applications , WSI systems,
• Fluency in written and spoken English, other languages will be an advantage

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work in a team
• Willing to work on shifts 24/7
• Temporary contract - 12 months
• Position based in Luxembourg
• A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection
