Vertex Aerospace is seeking an experienced professional to administer a Windows 2008/2012 enterprise infrastructure. This includes the management of physical and virtual servers at multiple locations. Applicant will be responsible for managing the IT infrastructure team to include multiple data centers as well as several hundred remote locations.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding of enterprise backups strategies at multiple locations world-wide.

• Exchange, ForeScout CounterACT, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Active Directory, iSCSI, SQL, Multifactor Authentication, DR, SEP, Cisco switch and route, HP switch, VLANs, PKI, Certificate, 802.1x, WAN, Shortel VOip, MS Azure, Cloud Identity, MS Office 365, One Drive, Enterprise Help Desk, Veeam, Aruba Wireless, Cisco Nexus, Simpana Commvault, Aurba Wireless, VMware

• Oversight on all Microsoft Windowsservers.

• Understand system resources in a multi-node VMWare VSphere cluster.

• Responsible for systems patch requirements for all servers and workstations utilizing IBM BigFix or MS SCCM

• Work after hours as necessary

• Support after hour emergency issues as needed in cases of systems failures

• Oversight of all storage arrays. Equallogic experience preferred

• Working knowledge to support Exchange mailboxes and Distribution Lists.

• Readily accept responsibility and demonstrate ability to work independently and in a team environment as judged by peers and management

• Work with other team members to understand & update systems configuration documents and technical specifications, develop and implement test plans and test scripts, and document server changes

• Providing assistance desktop team in troubleshooting and general support of the user community

• Provide input for the establishment of system policies and procedures, standards and schedules

• Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.

• Other projects and initiatives as assigned.

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

• Attend and participate in professional group meetings

• Participate in ongoing training and education

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Direct report to IT Infrastructure Manager

Physical Requirements: Primarily office environment. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. At times, must be able to work in aircraft hangar environment and board / exit aircraft. At times, must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and stoop. Must be able to walk particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as typing. Must be able to work at heights, subject to noise, subject to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, work on scaffolding, exposure to heat/cold. Must be able to communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with a minimum of 8+ years of related experience with an emphasis on Windows Server OS.

• Command line scripting with Command Shell and/or PowerShell

• Proficient in the discipline of systems backups and disaster recovery

• Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

• Strong interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Ability to effectively manage time

• Operational knowledge of helpdesk ticket tracking and configuration management systems

• Must be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a public trust position (if required for the position).

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (if required for the position).

• Must be able to work weekends, other shifts and overtime as required.

• The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview.

• Some travel will be required.

• Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.

Additional Experience

• Working knowledge of network technologies and troubleshooting. Cisco experience a plus

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Certificate Authority and certificate issuance.

• Working knowledge of SAP

• Working knowledge of GovWin server/application
