Responsibilities

Ensures physical inventory is accurately reflected across multiple warehouse management systems in order to supply needed parts and tools to production; performs root cause analysis of discrepancies; reports findings and results; coordinates effort with Stores.

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

* Performs routine audits of material and tooling using a formal cycle count process, verifying physical inventory is accurately reflected in warehouse management systems
* Accurately enters cycle count and inventory information into warehouse management systems and Access database and performs basic analysis to capture trends
* Prepares reports and presents results and summaries of audits to management and Leadership
* Validates and corrects inventory discrepancies both physically and within the warehouse management system; performs root cause analysis on results
* Performs periodic audits of shelf life material, ensuring all expired material is properly disposed according to regulations

Inventory Management:

* Works with stations to conduct routine inventory audits
* Uses excellent Customer Service skills to support Stores, line locations and Maintenance Repair Overhaul
* Shows proficiency in coordinating with Stores the process of handling excess and obsolete materials

Warehouse Management System:

* Demonstrates knowledge of system when determining type of discrepancy
* Ensures systems are adjusted on a daily basis to ensure correct information
* Uses very good attention to detail to verify accuracy of part serial numbers entered into system

Supply Chain Standards and Procedures:

* Ensures FAA compliance by conducting audits on parts, tooling, shelf-life, and hazmat material
* Conducts 60-day investigations to resolve discrepancies and locate missing parts
* Ensures compliance with Maintenance Procedure Manual by monitoring and following up on Stores shelf life and cure life

Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.

May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

* High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

* Four-year undergraduate degree required; Can substitute five years of Supply Chain Management or Inventory Management experience for degree
* Degree concentrated in business administration; supply chain management; aviation logistics; finance; accounting; industrial engineering/distribution; economics; mechanical, electrical, chemical, or aerospace engineering; or degrees in similar disciplines preferred
* MBA or MS in above disciplines preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum six months experience in a professional work environment preferred

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION:

* Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM), Certified Green Purchasing Professional (CGPP), Certified Professional in Distribution and Warehousing (CPDW), Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations (CPSO), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or other equivalent Supply Chain Management certification preferred
* Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
* Lean-Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
* A&P license preferred

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

* Ability to perform work duties from desk and office work area for extended periods of time
* Ability to work in an outdoor or warehouse environment occasionally preferred

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

* Must have good working knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology and savings initiatives
* Has good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; intermediate or advanced Excel and Access skills preferred.
* Has ability to problem solve by analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations
* Ability to demonstrate dedicated, proactive Customer Service to all internal and external Customers
* Ability to build strong working relationships with peers and Leaders; can work effectively as part of a Team
* Possesses good written and verbal communication skills; can assertively communicate in a meeting environment and one-on-one with Customers
* Able to create and edit administration manuals, process and procedural documents, business letters, and email communications
* Possesses good time management and organizational skills with ability to manage detailed, concurrent tasks; ability to successfully meet deadlines and perform under pressure

Communicates Effectively:

* Produces complete and accurate communications, including reports
* Uses active listening skills when interacting with internal and external Customers and Leader
* Demonstrates a good understanding of audience needs and preferences

* Demonstrates good time management skills; acts with a sense of urgency

* Consistently provides a fair amount of lead time when depending on others to respond to questions

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information
* Ability to work flexible hours to successfully meet deadlines; extended work hours may be required
* Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport
* Possible travel domestically and/or internationally 10-30%

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
