As Internal Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering effective internal communications plans and campaigns to support major projects and priorities across Jetstar Airways and Jetstar Group. With a focus on communications targeting our frontline teams, this role is also responsible for providing guidance to an adviser responsible for the ongoing production, maintenance and development of key internal communications channels.
Your main accountabilities will include:
• Manage internal communications tactics and channels to support strategic priorities with a focus on frontline teams
• Reduce email traffic and information overload for team members, develop strategies for targeted comms: right message, right team member, right time
• Support major safety initiatives with innovative communications solutions
• Develop and implement communications plans for operational priorities
• Work closely and maintain strong relationships with team members from all levels of the business (including senior management), to provide trusted advice and counsel on internal communications matters
• Strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of Jetstar
• Manage ongoing development and enhancement of internal communications channels, particularly our TV channel Jetstream TV and video editing suppliers. Evaluate and analyse return on investment
• Foster the development of effective, creative, collaborative and cost-effective internal communication channels (both new and existing).
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:
• Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism or similar
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role (5+ years)
• Experience in similar fast-paced complex organisation
• Experience with intranet content management systems and enterprise social networks
• Experience in producing both traditional and digital internal communications
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Strong evaluation and ROI analysis capabilities
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Highly self-motivated and use initiative to work independently.
• Prioritise tasks, manage time effectively and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel and work irregular hours.
