Description

Reporting to the Project Manager, One ID, the successful candidate will provide wide-ranging research and analytical support for IATA, its airline members and key stakeholders. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of IATA project “One ID” which aims at transforming the passenger process by digitalizing passengers’ identification and further leveraging biometric recognition.
The role will focus on developing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base underpinning the mentioned specific areas of project. The incumbent will also support the development and coordination of One ID guidance documentation to facilitate wider adoption support in other projects deliverables as assigned.

Responsibilities

The role is expected to include, but not be limited to, the following aspects:
Support the One ID team in preparing briefing material and in the secretariat and coordination of the various external groups (Advisory Groups and Expert Groups);
Through active research and information gathering, develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of global projects and initiatives related to biometrics and identity management; relevant technologies and vendors; and governance and legal aspects including privacy regulations;
Prepare project updates and briefing material for internal stakeholders;
Support the monitoring of trials: describe implementation, coordinate with stakeholders etc.
Support the team in responding to requests from member airlines, internal and external stakeholders for information, data, charts and other assistance;
Assist IATA including the regional teams in preparing workshops and disseminating awareness material;
Assist with various communication & dissemination activities, across a range of channels, including some social media; and
Assist in managing systems, tools and document repositories that facilitate the day-to-day operation and delivery of the project.

Qualifications and Skills

Recently graduated (within 1 year) from University or Engineer School;
Fluency in English; excellent written and verbal presentation skills;
Solid organizational and analytical skills; methodological approach;
A good understanding of the passenger process is an advantage;
Interest and ability to learn fast on evolving technologies and processes;
Well-developed interpersonal skills, strong team player;
Excellent organizational and administrative skills;
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, without sacrificing attention to detail;
Highly energetic, professional and motivated individual with the ability to work independently;
Computer literate with proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
Knowledge of communication tools is an asset;
Ability to deal and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and to professionally address all levels of management.
