Intern Finance and Accounting

Description

Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Payable the incumbent will be responsible for processing vendor invoices and business expense reports for IATA Switzerland. In addition, the incumbent will assist in supporting the global business expense reporting process.

Responsibilities

Processing of vendor invoices in line with IATA policy;
On-boarding of vendors into the PTP paperless tool;
Ensure payments are issued to both GVA based travelers and vendors in line with IATA policy and agreed payment terms;
Assisting the team in reviewing the GVA based employees business expense reports (BER) in line with IATA policy and procedures;
Provide customer service and support to the PTP users, vendors, travelers and the global Corporate Finance teams
Assist in the monthly reconciliation or reporting of all accounts payable related items, including but not limited to accounts payable aging, VAT, cash flow statements, clearing and the goods receipt / invoice receipt account;
Any other tasks as assigned by the Manager, Accounts Payable.

Qualifications and Skills

Studying or in progress of obtaining an university degree in a related field;
Good verbal and written communication skills in English;
Proven teamwork and initiative skills; ability to deal with people from different levels and cultures from within the organization;
Ability to prioritize work so all target dates are achieved and to co-ordinate and control multiple tasks simultaneously.
