This announcement is for an Instrument Technician Trainee with Ravn Air Group. This position reports to the Instrument Shop Manager and is responsible for assisting in the repair of aircraft instruments and components under the supervision and guidance of the Instrument Shop Manager and Instrument Technician. The successful candidate must have a desire to learn, mechanical aptitude, and strong communication skills. This is a non-exempt, full time, benefits-eligible position. Position typically works Monday through Friday in Anchorage, however overtime may be required as dictated by business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma/GED required.
* Requires mechanical aptitude.
* Must have good hand-eye coordination and be capable of working with delicate instrumentation associated with aviation.
* Able to work alone or with a group to accomplish maintenance goals.
* Able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
* Able to travel out of town on company business.
* Must have own hand tools or be willing to purchase those necessary to perform job.
* Current Alaska Driver’s License.
* Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
* Willing to work outdoors, all seasons when necessary.
* Able to bend, twist and stoop to perform job.
* Able to pass a background check.
* Comfortable working in an aviation environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Works under the supervision of the Instrument Shop Manager and Instrument Technician to repair aircraft instruments and components.
* Develops and maintains competency in various skill sets as required by the various aspects of the position.
* Ensures work is accurate and timely.
* Maintains appropriate priorities and timelines as designated by supervisor and needs of the business.
* Maintains strong relationships with internal and external customers.
* Other duties as assigned and within the scope of this position.
