Job Title: Inflight Crew Team Lead - Hamilton Based

Swoop is recruiting for motivated and dynamic Inflight Crew Team Lead to supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Swoop crew members on the ground at our Hamilton base. This position is an integral part of the inflight management team.

Overview

Provide support over personnel questions for assigned cabin crewmembers and operates on the ground at Swoop’s Hamilton base. The Inflight Crew Team Lead provides guidance and direction to ensure our crews can operate safely and smoothly while proactively reporting recurring personnel and operational issues to the Base Leader, Inflight. The Inflight Crew Team Lead helps to facilitate an environment that allows our Swoop cabin crewmembers to achieve extraordinary results and create a remarkable experience for internal and external travelers.

Responsibilities Include:

* Listen to and resolve crew member’s questions

* Provide administrative support to cabin crewmember performance and personnel issues

* Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Swoop crew members on the ground

* Communicate cabin safety, standards and service to cabin crew members to ensure the safety of our cabin crewmembers and our travelers

* Promote an environment for achieving operational goals and high employee engagement through modelling Swoop values with our cabin crewmembers, and the promotion of positive employee relations

* Involvement in the Swoop safety plan including emergency response, audits, employee injuries and illness

* Model, guide and motivate cabin crewmembers to achieve priorities

* Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders including Flight Operations, Crew Planning and Crew Scheduling as well as external agencies (i.e. CATSA, pass control, airport authority)

* Proactively identify and communicates the key issues within the cabin crew to the Base Leader, Inflight

* Building relationships through open and honest communication, focusing on the development of cabin crew members through coaching and mentorship

* Providing input and insight on process changes and/or innovations you feel will improve our team, the operation or profitability

* Conducting cabin crewmember inflight line assessments

* Qualified as a Swoop cabin crewmember and maintains competency

* Conducts Inspections-Aircraft & Crew Room

* Conducts Line Indoctrinations

Qualifications:

* 2+ years in a team lead role with a demonstrated balance between customer service, safety and operations

* Industry experience within the Inflight area a requirement

* Proven knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS) Parts 1, V, VI, VII

* Proven track record of developing effective teams

* Ability to multitask & handle changing priorities

* Proficient in PC based applications, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Outlook

* A strong understanding of the working environment of cabin crew is an asset

* Excellent oral and written skills are required

* Proven organization and time management skills

* Travel out of town may be required

* Available to work weekends and evenings

* Operate as a Flight Attendant as required

* Other special projects as required by the Senior Leader, Inflight
