Aviation Hydraulics Technician

This niche and specialist MRO is a leading independent provider of component technical services for Airlines and the aviation community which was formed over 10 years ago. Supplying tailored packages of smart solutions for airframe and engine component MRO services, our client has a significant and rapidly expanding international customer network which has been built by establishing long term partnerships with airlines, business commuter operators, aircraft leasing companies, OEM’s & stockists.

Prime Aero has been requested to recruit an experienced Hydraulics Technician that can further contribute to the success of our clients’ business. We are specifically looking for an individual that enjoys working as part of a team, that has a high work ethic and is 100% committed to the success of the business. Brief Duties:

  • Work part of a team in the Test, repair and overhaul of Boeing and Airbus electronic components 
  • Take responsibility for the operation of the test stand and provide data acquisition 
  • Responsible for compiling reports, Bill of Materials through to completion of staged paperwork workflow
  • Deep strip/maintenance of Hydraulic valves, fuses, actuators and flight controls
  • Work to approved maintenance data standards
  • Abide by our clients MOE
  • Adhere to EASA Pt.145 standards and regulations

Skills and experience required:

  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • At least 3 years’ experience gained within an aerospace workshop or 5 years within a hangar environment
  • Candidates that have Hydraulic Engineering experience, gained away from the Aviation sector will also be considered.

Environmental Health & Safety

  • Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of our clients EHS policy and the importance of conforming to EHS policies and procedures, and consequences of failing to comply with EHS policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate knowledge of EHS risks and impacts of work activities and the benefits of improving the EHS performance
  • Reduce recordable and reduce lost time incidents
  • Contribute to a safe & healthy workplace by:
    • Complying with EH&S requirements & safe workplace practices when performing duties with due concern for all other colleagues
    • Support improvements to eliminate or reduce workplace risks
    • Immediately report any hazardous condition
