Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resource this position will provide day to day support to the Human Resources Function of Safran Electronics & Defense Canada

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* • Full cycle recruitment (including international)
* • Issuing employment offers and agreements
* • Facilitating new employee orientations and ownership of onboarding program
* • Coordinating terminations and departures, including exit interviews
* • Contractor management; tracking expiries and renewals, assessments, agency relationships
* • Resource planning with departments; participating in planning meetings, providing risks and cost savings, advising based on legislation and applicable collective agreement
* • Maintain compensation structure, assess salaries for positions, support annual increase process, report any compensation issues or gaps
* • Support performance development and review process
* • Support training program and organizing organizational training
* • Policy review and maintenance ensuring compliance with applicable legislation
* • Provide managers with absenteeism reporting and analysis
* • Employee leave and return to work programs
* • Various administration including; maintaining employee files, organizational chart, employee lists, etc.
* • Employee relations
* • Communicate to internal stakeholders HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations
* • Support social event coordination, assist with community outreach when needed
* • Additional projects and duties as assigned.

Job requirements

* • Ability to work proactively and solve issues autonomously
* • Ability to handle confidential matters in a discreet and mature manner is required
* • Successful completion of a college diploma or university degree in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent work experience
* • Certificate in Human Resources Management (CHRM) an asset
* • Good working knowledge of current employment legislation
* • Experience working with an H.R.I.S.
* • Minimum3 years human resources work experience, preferably in a unionized environment
* • Proven ability to drive projects through to completion on time
* • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication (written, verbal, and listening) skills, as well as a strong customer service orientation
* • Good verbal, written and listening skills.
* • French language skills are an asset
