Job Summary

Using your strong background in employee relations and change management you will work collaboratively with the relevant internal stakeholders to provide a day-to-day HR service to the team and a HR business partnering service to line managers in a timely, practical and professional manner championing best practice in all areas of people processes that builds the reputation of gategroup as an employer of choice and effectively delivers to service level agreement standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrating a high level of customer service, you will lead, support and deliver on multiple projects encompassing all areas of the employee life cycle that will drive forward the business objectives and HR strategy including but not limited to change management programmes and HR continuous improvement projects as well as guiding managers through performance management, recruitment and development. Utilising your ability to plan, organise and communicate effectively, you will engage with stakeholders of all levels maintaining effective relationships while working in fast paced and complex environment. The role will be based in Ashford but requires the successful candidate to have the flexibility to work from any of our units based in Heathrow as and when dictated by business needs.

Qualifications:

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

Educated to a good level of secondary education (A level or equivalent); HR-related qualifications (eg.: CIPD level 3) and training in UK Labour Law are desirable but not essential

Work Experience:

* Extensive experience of managing complex employee relations issues in HR Generalist role

* Experience of managing change programmes (including TUPE) within a fast paced environment is ideal

* Ability to evidence continual professional development in HR related subjects

* Coaching, guiding and training managers on policy, procedure and best practice

* Self-motivated yet with proven track record of working within a team in a fast paced diverse organization

Skills & Knowledge:

* Statutory procedures and best practice in relation to managing employee relations cases

* Delivering work of a high quality (in particular written communications) and implementing high standards in delivery

* Process orientated/methodical

* Good presentation and negotiation skills

* Experienced at conflict resolution

* Strong drive and emotional resilience

* Project planning and delivery on time within budget

* Fluency in English to mother tongue standard; Other European languages useful
