The individual will need to engage with all levels of leadership, provide HR partnership to their client group, enabling the successful engagement, motivation and retention of employees.

Reporting to the Ampthill Head of H.R, this role when required, will provide support to and deputise for the leader, and support work flow down and lead special projects related to the Business Unit. For example - Corporate initiatives / New Business. This role may provide day to day mentoring and guidance to the Associate HRBP and will provide day to day task management of HR administration.

Specific Job Description:

§ To be the main HR interface for the client group line management, providing full HR support, building solid relationships, gaining trust, confidence and respect on all HR related matters. This involves being familiar with the HR policies and practices of the Company and creating business value, by providing high quality and consistent advice and guidance. This will involve:

§ Effective management of HR Operations by ensuring workload is planned, managed and delivered against milestones. Ensuring that stakeholders are kept updated and issues are identified early, solutions are developed and implemented with minimal direction. .

§ Provide advice, guidance and support on employee relations matters including leading the resolution of disciplinary, grievance and performance management issues.

§ Providing advice and guidance on compensation and benefits issues. This includes developing and implementing the promotion and awards plan.

§ Providing advice and guidance on recruitment issues and assist with the appointment of management positions. Contribute to the orientation process for employees and new managers.

§ Working in partnership with senior management and their reporting managers with your client groups and engaging in the business rhythm. Participating in and contributing to, key meetings in order to understand the business and partnering to add value.

§ Taking the lead in further developing the culture of the company, driving the company values, Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives and Diversity and Inclusion into daily practice. This includes supporting the employee survey activity.

§ Provide day to day supervision, mentoring and guidance to the Associate HRBP and also the day to day supervision and task management of HR administration.

§ Support the Head of HR, and assist and/or lead with any other project work as requested.

§ The position may require travel within the UK

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.

Essential Skills:
* Self starter, able to work under own initiative
* Excellent computer literacy skills and HR database knowledge.
* A team player, able to work at all levels, within a matrix organisation across international boundaries
* All-rounded HR professional that is able to support the delivery of the Human Capital Strategy
* Previous HRBP experience involving change management experience, an understanding of the talent, reward and performance management, employees relations and employee engagement.
* Experience of fast-paced working environments
* Ability to be flexible, and work under pressure
* Ability and knowledge to contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
* Ambitious, keen to progress and able to demonstrate a proven track record of leading and influencing others, enabling successful delivery of people interventions which improved business performance.
* Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within a large blue chip organisation.
* Thorough understanding of UK employment law and have demonstrable experience in handling employee relations issues.
* Demonstrated capability of building effective relationships and facilitating solutions across multiple stakeholders, in the UK and Internationally.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with people of all levels.
* Have a strong work ethic and experience of fast-paced and demanding working environments and tight deadlines.
* Confident self-starter, enthusiastic and committed, organised and flexible.
* Ability to prioritise issues and foresee and manage potential conflicts.
* Excellent computer literacy skills and HR database knowledge.
