Duties and responsibilities:

* Reports to General Manager- Training

* Shall work in coordination with the Heads of other Training departments to achieve the business targets and objectives

* Shall be responsible to manage his/ her team of simulator engineers, technician, IT support as per the HR Policy .

* Shall be the local focal point for the Central team in Toulouse and shall coordinate with them to ensure that the training devices for Flight and Maintenance Training are maintained to ‘Training by Airbus’ standards in terms of reliability, MTBF, device updates (Entry into Service of Training products), on time delivery etc.

* Leads and coordinate all the activities related to the Training Devices

* Is accountable for the high quality level and timely actions when performing trouble-shooting interventions following devices failures or instructors request.

* Shall ensure 24x7 support is available for smooth operation of simulators (including troubleshooting, immediate supervision etc.)

* Shall support Safety initiatives related to Training and Flight Operations Support as part of the Safety management activity, including contribution to Product Safety Process (PSP) and Safety Management System (SMS)

* Plans, coordinates and performs preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, DRs, initial and recurrent qualification tests and modifications as defined

* Shall be responsible to manage the training device parts, spares and all documentation relevant to the devices as per the regulations

Shall be responsible to work with the procurement team and the Central team in Toulouse for the PO, contracts, invoices, delivery of simulators, laptops, tablets, spares, support, terms and conditions etc.

Shall coordinate with the Quality Manager to ensure that the training devices are maintained as per regulatory requirements and the simulator qualification/ requalification tests are conducted as per the requirements

Shall prepare all the relevant document, devices etc for the FSTD audits and shall work towards closure of findings

*

Organizes and establishes his team’s shift/work schedule, assignment of tasks etc. and allocates tasks to his team members to guarantee device availability on time and on quality.

Shall coordinate for the shared services including Facility Management, Security and ICT teams for the various resources to ensure smooth functioning of the Training Organizations (Maintenance and Flight Training)

* Shall assist the General Manager in terms of business needs, AOP etc.

​​Eligibility Requirements:

* Shall hold a Bachelor’s degree/ Engineering degree or its equivalent.

* Should have good knowledge of the regulatory requirements for the FSTDs

* Should have 8-10 years of experience in maintaining simulators (including troubleshooting, running the tests, safety management etc)

* Should have the experience of managing the team of simulator engineers/ technicians

* Should have good communication skills and positive attitude

* Should be a team player and have a proactive approach with colleagues

* Should be able to work in a multicultural environment

* Should have good decision making capability and ability to work under pressure (especially last minute changes, handling breakdowns etc.)

* Experience on managing simulator procurement contracts will be preferred

* Good knowledge on FSTD regulations will be preferred
