Job Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director, and as a member of the SMT, you will be responsible for all technical and project management aspects of the oil dispersant spray kit and its associated publications, approvals, certification and technical information. You will also provide management and oversight of the equipment’s care, maintenance and storage. Ensuring timely professionalism at all times, you will manage the interface between RVL and stakeholders.

 

Duties

  • Commercial management of equipment and support to the 737 ODSS team in both ongoing and future development
  • Management and oversight of storage, care and maintenance of the equipment
  • Be responsible for all airworthiness items including technical instructions and publications
  • Manage the programme and development, including design iterations, of the second kit and any subsequent kits made on behalf of the Client
  • Ensuring the equipment is maintained in accordance with the applicable regulations
  • Be the main point of contact for all ODSK related issues and act as the conduit between the company and the ODSK operator
  • Management of both FAA and EASA STC’s in conjunction with appropriate design organisations and regulatory bodies
  • Ensure all associated ground support equipment is managed and available as required for both training and live callouts
  • Manage all costs associated with the ODSK, propose efficiency measures where appropriate
  • Management of all key stakeholders and suppliers in relation to the equipment
  • Be responsible for all manuals including the component repair manual, MEL, loading training manual, any revisions and all suitably qualified staff
  • Ensure timely response in the event of a callout, ensuring all KPI’s are met
  • Manage ODSK response for any training exercises
  • Produce and lead training exercises for ongoing maintenance, loading and its operation
  • Plan, maintain and oversee all operational logistics associated with the ODSK and its transportation
  • Develop and lead close working relationships with all ODSS team members, proposing and leading where necessary, additional team members as the department grows

  Personal attributes

  • Licensed Aircraft Engineer with Technical Services experience

  • Project management skills

  • Work autonomously to deliver within tight scope and strict deadlines

  • Able to co-ordinate meeting schedules and manage communication streams with all project stakeholders

  • Commercially aware

Special considerations

  • Ability to work flexibly and out of hours as is required by the role and travel where necessary
  • This will include UK and International travel as required and potentially at short notice
