Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for Head of Security Policy & Risk Management for Dublin & Cork Airports. This position will report into the Airport Security Manager & Group Head of Security. This role is based in Dublin but there will be a requirement to travel to Cork Airport.

* Third level qualification in related discipline
* Experience in an aviation regulatory and compliance environment essential

Responsibilities

* In consultation with relevant internal stakeholders, amend and obtain regulatory approval for changes to the Security Programmes and SOPs for Dublin and Cork Airports. Changes may be to procedures, equipment and infrastructure and may arise due to regulatory changes, changes in threat level, efficiency or operational need.
* Ensure security risk assessments are undertaken of all proposed infrastructure projects and for the installation of new or significant modifications to existing equipment which may impact on security.
* Support the Security Operations departments so that their work can be undertaken in a manner compliant with the NCASP and which also has regard for the need for the operation to be efficient.
* Continually review, in collaboration with internal stakeholders, the security risks which the Airports are exposed to and develop appropriate mitigating actions.
* Implement the daa Security Strategy in so far as it relates to the functions of Group Security.
* Identify and manage third parties who implement security controls to ensure that they are aware of their regulatory obligations under the daa Security Programme.
* Ensure all findings from compliance and quality control activities including those from internal teams, IAA, EU Commission and other external agencies are reviewed, considered, managed and that appropriate actions based on root cause analysis are identified and developed
* Implement and enhance the occurrence reporting system for daa Security.
* Undertake analysis of the data in the occurrence reporting system in order to identify changes which may be needed to ensure compliance with the NCASP and assure and enhance security.
* Act as the focal point to obtain regulatory approval for all security related changes to infrastructure, equipment and procedures.
* Attend and provide input to the Airport Security Committee meetings, the IAA workshop meetings and other relevant meetings.
* Review proposed amendments to the NCASP and EU Regulations in order to provide input to the IAA following the airport’s assessment of the effects for Dublin and Cork airports.
* Propose amendments to the NCASP and EU Regulations where appropriate.
* Provide relevant security input and assist in the management of audits / inspections by the IAA, State, European Commission and visiting States.
* Support the Airport Security Manager to discharge their responsibilities as set out in the NCASP.
* Attend State meetings and workshops and provide relevant input as required.
* Obtain and maintain Security clearance from DTTAS.
* Maintain current copies of security related legislation, NCASP and Security Advice Notices.
* Establish a system for sharing information on a need to know basis with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
* Attend ACI security meetings and industry tradeshows and seminars as requested by Airport Security Manager
* Enhance and manage the Security Management System (SeMS) for Dublin and Cork Airports.
* Provide input to the daa Security Change Management meeting.
* Act as the focal point for Commission for Aviation Regulation regulatory requirements
